KSO Music School Bursaries

The KSO Music School is committed to making music education accessible to all members of our community, regardless of financial circumstances. Our bursaries provide financial support to students who demonstrate dedication, passion, and potential in their musical studies.

How Our Bursaries Work

  • Bursary awards provide support for one academic year.
  • Applications are open to all students, but submitting an application does not guarantee an award.
  • All applications are reviewed by the Award Committee, and all information provided is held in strict confidence.
  • Applications are due by September 15 each year.

What We Ask From Applicants

To apply, please provide:

  • A completed application form
  • Proof of income for all adult members of your household (students under 22 must submit parent/guardian information)
  • A letter from the student outlining their proposed course of study and musical goals
  • A letter of support from a music teacher, school teacher, or responsible adult (not a family member) who can attest to the student’s dedication and work habits
  • Any additional information that may support your application if financial circumstances are not fully reflected in your income documentation
