Bonita Wiens

Bonita Wiens, Pianist

Bonita was born and raised in Kamloops. Piano lessons were a part of her life beginning at the age of 5 and continuing until achieving her ARCT. At the age of 14 she began her teaching career with the kids she babysat. Teaching piano became a way of life until retirement in 2022.

Accompanying began at age 14 as well, beginning with the choir at the Alliance Church. This grew to involve many soloists and musical groups including Kamloops Children’s Choir, Kamloops Players Theatre, Classic Blend, and Kamloops Symphony Orchestra.

While teaching has been left behind, Bonita continues to enjoy accompanying. A highlight for her is learning new music, working with wonderful people, and being a part of their musical journey.
