Summer Voice Academy

This week-long, evening course will take us on a vocal and theatrical journey including:

• Vocal Alignment
• Physicalization
• Musical Styles (how to approach)
• Character development
• Emotional Connection
• Mental Health: performance anxiety, a career in  performance, etc.
• Performance practice

We will finish the course with a fully staged performance on August 11.

Schedule At A Glance

Monday: 5-7 pm Orientation and meeting of the whole company.
Tuesday - Friday: Private lessons between 1-4/5pm, workshops and staging from 4/5 - 8 pm.
Saturday: Dress rehearsal day. Please plan to be available from 10 am - 5 pm.
Sunday: Performance

Please bring packed lunches, water bottles, a yoga mat for floor work if you have one, and wear comfortable clothing.

Important Things Of Note

• There is no audition for this program. If your voice is unfamiliar to the teachers please send a short video of you singing a song, or part of a song, to heidimuendel@gmail.com. a phone video is sufficient.
• Music will begin being assigned by the end of June. Late registrations will possibly result in an ensemble participation. If you wish to be considered for a solo, duet, or trio please register early.
• Music is expected to be learned before the week begins so we can more effectively focus on style, technique, and interpretation. Please contact your music teacher if you need assistance learning your music.
• Please mention any scheduling questions, concerns, or conflicts as we will do our best to be flexible and accommodate you. For example, there is space for flexible scheduling in the private sessions.
